The objective of students learning Islamic Studies at the primary school level is to develop a basic understanding of the teachings of Islam, including knowledge of the Qur’an, the life and attributes of Allah, and the moral values expected of a good Muslim. It aims to help pupils learn how to recite simple Qur’anic verses correctly, understand their meanings at a basic level, and apply them in their daily lives. The subject also seeks to instill discipline, respect, honesty, kindness, and obedience to parents, teachers, and elders. Furthermore, it guides pupils to practice good behavior, develop a strong spiritual foundation, and grow into responsible individuals who contribute positively to their homes, schools, and society.
